The plan is to meet at 2pm at the event at St. Ann’s Academy grounds. We meet on the steps of the Academy. Put on GREAT BIG RED NOSES and go interact with folks. The Nose is assist us in accessing our inner 3 year old and have fun.

Greetings Laughter Yoga Leaders
I have been thinking for a while about how to engage lightheartedness out in the world. People come to laughter yoga sessions and then we never see each other again unless it is at one of the clubs. Attendance over the years has been sporadic or for short bursts of enthusiasm and then it may be years before people are heard of again.
Many clubs have disappeared because of the difficulty of sustaining members. I have pressed on over the years when attendance dwindled to one or two people and waited for people to return, mainly because doing a group at least once a week has been so valuable for me personally.
I would like to propose a way to bring lightheartedness out into the world by those of us who have been part of the experience of learning to laugh for no reason.
About three years ago I helped out with a booth for laughter yoga at a senior’s event. Spontaneously I put on a red nose and walked around simply talking to everyone I met. It was the most fun I have had going out in public and freely engaging people in conversation.
Recently while contemplating doing a laughter yoga session for a community event I began to think about how it would be if I ask others who know how to play in a benign, spontaneous and lighthearted way, to join me. Thus THE GREAT BIG RED NOSE QUESTION was born.
…Matti, Soren, Fred and I met for an hour and began to explore how much fun it would be to put on a GREAT BIG RED NOSE and walk around engaging people in conversations about things that may or may not be important to them in the spirit of lightheartedness and playfulness. We could simultaneously hand out RED NOSES to people willing to go on our Laughter Yoga Victoria email list which could be a valuable way to attract new people to our clubs.
This could be a wonderful way for us as leaders to get together and play at events that take place throughout the year in Victoria and for people in our clubs to join us out in the world as we extend the generosity of lightheartedness to others. As our group of four began to talk about the idea the possibilities seemed endless for how this kind of spontaneous playfulness could extend into the community.
We would like to make our debut at the Creatively United for the Planet event on April 26th where we will also hold a laughter yoga session with all the new and old BIG RED NOSES.
