Laughter Yoga with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

 

What an experience. I was honoured and privileged to lead a Laughter Yoga session with a few PTSD folks from the base. The response was amazing. All I did was just do a basic LY session, a little more explanation and a question period at the beginning. Also, ran it a little more slowly so as to not make any startling or unexpected moves.

 

I was pleasantly surprised to see them responding so well. Two of them shared how they felt happy inside for the first time in a long time. They had been keeping up appearances and making others happy, but had not felt happy inside.

 

Also, both said they felt confused by that… I am expecting at least one person at my regular LY night tonight.

 

All thanks to Dr. K. for his wonderful work creating and supporting us all in our unfolding into joy. I am excited to move forward hoping and expecting to really help other PTSD folks.

Advertise Your Weaknesses

Every person has a fair share of strengths and weaknesses, but very few have the courage to talk about their weaknesses. It is understandably difficult to open up and admit to one’s faults and try to rectify them. Sometimes, we go through our entire life hiding our weaknesses, which most often is detrimental for our self esteem. Therefore, it is important to primarily accept our faults and then set out to fix them.

 

Here is an interesting story that reveals a great way of getting rid of your weakness or any bad habits by actually telling others about it:
