When is the Best Time to Laugh? The Answer May Surprise You. Victoria Laughter News October 29, 2014

When is the Best Time to Laugh? The Answer May Surprise You.

The best time to laugh is…when you REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY don’t feel like it.

Why? ‘Cause that’s when you need it most. (That’s when I need it most.)

Many times, I and other Laughter Yoga folks have noticed that when we pushed ourselves to get out to a Laughter Yoga session, we felt better at the end of the hour.

We can be tired, even exhausted. We can be emotionally upset from work or relationship “challenges.”

We can be grumpy, even.

Those things kind of just get shunted to the sidelines after some time laughing.

So, whether you are feeling great or “down in the dumps,” why not some out to Laughter Yoga tonight.

6.45 pm at Ingredients Health Store 2031 Store Street downtown.

Actress Julia Roberts Defines Happiness and Her Anti-aging Formula (Hint: We can all do this):

“There’s a lightness to my life now — an airy quality of not taking things too seriously. That’s happiness”

“While she has stayed away from the surgical table, Roberts has found her own anti-aging techniques, telling the mag that she relies on “studying yoga on a more conscious level.”

The August: Osage County star — mom to kids Hazel and Phinnaeus, 9, and Henry, 7, with husband of 12 years Danny Moder — also noted that she has found peace in a decluttered life. “It’s about non-grasping, non-hoarding, cleaning out your closet, dusting out your mind and letting go of the things that weigh you down mentally and emotionally,” she explained. ‘There’s a lightness to my life now — an airy quality of not taking things too seriously. That’s happiness.'”

* Feeling healthier and more energetic.

About Victoria Laughter Yoga Club

Victoria Laughter Yoga Club is affiliated with Dr. Madan Kataria's School of Laughter Yoga. We laugh: Just ‘cause: ☺It feels good ☺Fights cancer* ☺Conquers stress ☺Improves circulation ☺Smooths out wrinkles ☺Is efficient exercise** ☺Slows the aging process ☺Boosts immunity(fight colds) ☺Oxygen to brain=clear thinking * Dr. Otto Warburg, President, Institute of Cell Physiology, Nobel Prize Winner (twice) says: “Deep breathing techniques increase oxygen to the cells and are the most important factors in living a disease-free and energetic life. When cells get enough oxygen, cancer will not and cannot occur.” (My bolding) **Dr. W. Fry states that 10 minutes of hearty laughter is equal to 30 minutes or rowing or jogging.(Journal of General Psychology, 1938) Laughter Yoga goes beyond just laughter. Founder Dr. Madan Kataria has developed techniques to stimulate childlike playfulness, to adjust the aerobic and stretching component, and to promote emotional flow and release. Laughter Yoga can improve your physical health, release negative thoughts and emotions and get in touch with your spiritual nature. It helps us to develop an attitude of forgiveness, generosity, compassion and helpfulness while actively seeking the happiness of others. Combined, these principles can provide a powerful life-changing experience that we call the inner spirit of laughter. Laughter Yoga Clubs are non-political, non-religious, non-profit. There are a number of clubs in the Victoria area. Email for more info and current schedule:
