Laughter Fills Your Soul.
Nature provided humans with the ability to laugh. For what reason, one wonders? In the modern world, we may not have to look far for the answer. See the Feature Article from Laughter Ambassador Sebastien Gendry for potent thoughts on how to counter the flood of negative in the world today.

Editorial
Hello Matti,
As you may know I was born and spent my formative years in France. The bombings that happened there a couple of weeks ago and the impact this will have for years to come on thousands of lives is a tragedy. Yet, to me, the greatest tragedy has been watching many of my countrymen travel since then on a downward spiral towards stress and fear. Stress is a silent killer that’s far too expensive to be ignored.
The following may not be easy for some to hear, but laughter can be of invaluable help in times of great stress.
Allow me to rephrase: There is a new way to use laughter that can greatly help to heal and dissolve dis-eases of any kind. It’s reliable, sustainable, universally safe for all and, well, fun. Best of all: we all already have the tools required to make it work. All that’s needed is the understanding of how it works (which I have documented extensively here.) For example, simple laughter therapy techniques can be used as most efficient tools to open the gates to unexpressed sadness, and that way vocalize and release pent up emotions without having to verbalize anything.
Above and beyond the many positive impacts laughter can have on the body when properly used, it is also a tool that can disarm, open doors and possibilities and enable other elements of levity such as play, wonder and celebration of life. Choosing to laugh does not change your outer circumstances but how you perceive them. It’s about creating an inner pool of attraction for a different way to be in the world and how to react to its many challenges.
Here is one of many tips to help change negative memories: When the brain stores a memory it also stores the emotional state that you were experiencing at the time. When you recall the memory the brain also recalls and restores the emotional state with it. You have the opportunity to hijack the recall process and work on replacing the emotional state with something more helpful, because we feel emotions through a change in chemical state. It takes the brain 90-120 seconds to get to a new emotional state. This gives the aware mind 90-120 seconds to anticipate that change and do something about it. Play with it: deliberately recall unhelpful and distressing memories and then use creative ways to smile or laugh as they come back.
This particular technique may or may not work for you, and if it doesn’t so what? Simply know that it’s one of many, and if you try them all one of them will eventually work and you’ll realize somewhere in the process that the healing process can be fun. (Watch this video for ideas on how to use laughter to heal trauma.)
There is a new frontier in wellness, and I urge you to learn more about it. (Exciting ideas are below!)
Happy holiday season!

Laughter Yoga is the unique concept that we can laugh for no reason at all.
* Laughing is FUN
* We start out with laughter exercises
> That sends feel good hormones to the brain.
* We intersperse with yoga type deep breathing
> That sends more oxygen to the brain and body
* We add child-like playfulness
> That opens up our creativity and intuition
* We do “Laughter Meditation”
> Unlike any other meditation, way fun
* We finish with some relaxation routines.
* Sessions are led by a Certified Laughter Yoga Leader.
> Non-profit, non-religious, non-political.
* Free or by donation
