Laughter to Boost Memory.
First, I must disclose that I do not believe in “age related memory loss.”
Blaming age for memory loss accelerates memory loss. In other words, we have been programmed to believe that our memories will get worse as we are.
We then become hypersensitive to any signs of memory loss.
For example, we walk into a room and forget why we did so…then blame it on age…get worried about it…and that worry translates into more memory lapses…which we notice and supports the theory…it becomes a vicious cycle.
The reality is we had memory lapses when we were young. We just never thought anything about it, so no trauma and we carried on.
Every indication is that we retain our faculties, on average, well into our 70s.
