What do you do when you get rear-ended? I mean my car got rear-ended. What were YOU thinking?
Laugh, of course.
Happened after Laughter Yoga last night.
Fella behind us was distracted looking at the street signs to see what number block he was at.
I remembered to smile a little, laugh a little and then laugh on the way home, do some “trauma release” also. Laughter by itself is great trauma release already.
No injuries…that we know of. Will get checked out as it is a shock to the system, of course. So want to either rule that out … or in.
Anger boils up right away, of course.
But the other fella did not do it intentionally. And ICBC waives the deductible for getting my bumper fixed. The other car’s nose was all smashed in, so it is more extensive.
Perspective is good to get too. There are folks living in war zones. Traumatized every day fearing for their lives and their families.
Accidents to happen. The ICBC lady was SO helpful and calming. A real tribute to her profession.
Onward and upward, as they say.
